Rainbows for Children and Adolescents

Children can experience a lot of changes when there is a separation or bereavement in a family. The Rainbows Programme can provide support to help them adapt to these changes.

Trained facilitators lead groups of children through this supportive programme to help them deal more effectively with the many different feelings they may experience at this time of transition.

Using books, materials, games and activities around a variety of relevant topics, participants are enabled to cope, heal and rebuild their lives.

Information Evening: Tuesday, 25th January at 8 pm

N.B. It is important for Parents/guardians to come along to the Information Evening to ask questions and receive as much information as possible. It is an opportunity to meet the Rainbow leaders, speak confidentially to one of them and look at the programme materials. Bring along a trusted friend if necessary.

Prism

Parents may also need support in dealing with grief or separation. Prism is a support group for parents held at the same time as Rainbows.

It not only helps them deal with their own feelings in a supportive and confidential setting but also gives them some ideas on how to deal with parenting issues and managing their children’s emotions.
